Everything was simply great. The place was pleasant, with its WELCOMING staff at the reception desk. There was a great selection of food for breakfast, including coffee and tea.

The location was brilliant as a fortress and a castle were next to the hotel. Plus it was next to restaurants and pubs.

The hotel of choice in Salzburg. Reasonably clean and pleasant place with very amiable and extremely friendly staff at the reception desk. Magnificent location short walk to lovely shops, cafes and bakeries, sightseeing, and Mozart Wohnhaus and Schloss Mirabell, could not be better. Also, right in the heart of Town. The queen room with free tea or coffee, coffee, for instance. A lot of options for breakfast in the terrace.

Liked the place, it was enchanting and worked for me. The location of the hotel was great and brilliant, next to boutiques and nice stores. Also it was next to a fortress and a castle. There was variety of cafés and restaurants to choose from...

I recently stayed at Schwarzes Rossl and had a fantastic experience. The location was perfect, situated in the quieter part of the Old Town but still within a short walking distance to all the main attractions. I was pleased to find that the room was spacious and clean, with some charming antique furniture. The staff at the reception were incredibly friendly and always willing to assist. I also appreciated the tea and coffee-making facilities available throughout the day, along with some morning biscuits. I was impressed with the excellent location and the comfortable accommodations at Schwarzes Rossl.

Location is good - only 10m walk from Mirabell Garden. The breakfast provided by the nearby cafe is good.

On lift using for working staff, and guest. Sometimes staff stop to lift to deliver something between floor. All guests have to walk up/down with stairs. No staff at counter after midnight and front door stuck and can't open with my key. Noisy sometimes from outside. Staff don't really have service mind

Brand-new & spotless unit with bathroom, a nice cool temperature, for example. Magnificent and absolutely incredible location, easy to get around Salzburg by a train station located walking distance to the hotel.

Good small place with amicable employees in assisting you with your bags. Perfect location close to restaurants and bars. Loved pretty area.

The hotel offers brand-new and silent rooms with ensuite bathrooms, as well as free tea and coffee. The location is amazing and incredible, just a minute's walk from Sacher. I loved this place.

Enchanting and immaculately clean hotel, the staff who served us were excellent, and it had INCREDIBLE location right in the city centre. Location: the venue was near the charming old town, and many boutique shops and restaurants.

Front desk was very friendly and helpful, breakfast was served (not buffet style) at a cafe next door, rooms are quite large for European standards, room had fridge, towels were replaced everyday, excellent hotel location, late check out time (noon), inexpensive compared to all other hotels in vicinity.

Internet access (the website says that there is wired internet in every room but they don't provide you with a cable. Maybe that's common in Austria, but I didn't know so I had to go out and purchase a cable so I can use internet in my room), loud fridge humming noise, loud construction right outside the window beginning before 7am (it was double glass window), persistent maid service (I.E. I was working until late morning during my stay and the maids knocked at least four separate times to clean -- no "do not disturb" signs in Austria?), non- buffet breakfast (some people might like this but it takes longer time to be served).

We had a fantastic stay at Schwarzes Rossl! The staff was great and very accommodating. The location in the Old Town was brilliant, with top-rated restaurants just steps away. It was easy to get to St. Gilgen, Hallstatt, and Salzburg main station with the convenient bus connections. The rooms were spotless and cleaned daily, and the free biscuits and tea/coffee provided round the clock were a nice touch. We would definitely recommend Schwarzes Rossl for its excellent service, cleanliness, and ideal location.

i didn't like the cleaner going into my room while i was having breakfast, i appreciate you have to trust your staff but unfortunately have experienced problems of theft from my room in the recent past.maybe " do not disturb " and " make up room " cards could be provided.
